General Kitchen Assistant
Term time: 38 weeks per year
Two shifts available as follows:
9.30am – 2.30pm 22.5 hours per week at Enfield Heights Academy £8,563.51 per annum
11.45am – 2.45pm 15 hours per week at Woodpecker/Cuckoo Hall Academy £5,609.81 per annum
Cuckoo Hall Academies Trust (C.H.A.T.) is the Charitable Trust set up to run and manage four Primary and one Secondary Academies serving approximately 1800 children. Based in Edmonton we are focused on driving up the quality of education provision and standards. We are now recruiting Kitchen Assistants to help provide pupils, staff and visitors with a high quality fresh food catering service.
You will help prepare and serve meals as well as help out with general cleaning to keep the prep and eating areas fit for purpose. This will involve getting the dining halls and service counters ready as well as delivering an efficient food service. You will also wash used items and equipment after meal times. Important will be the ability to follow processes to ensure kitchen and hygiene and standards are met and general Health and Safety requirements maintained.
You must be flexible and understand the importance of following H&S requirements and working to the highest hygiene standards. A good communicator you will work well as part of a team but are comfortable using your initiative too.
